What Can I Do About My Crow's Feet?

With increasing age, your skin loses moisture and thus elasticity. This results in the skin becoming increasingly slack and wrinkles form, such as crow’s feet. Fillers and Botox® can help against the signs of aging and make the wrinkles temporarily disappear.

Dr. Doris Giraldo  At New Dimension Dentistry in the New York metro area reduces the signs of aging, such as lines and wrinkles, without invasive surgery. Dr. Giraldo and her expert team offer Botox and fillers to give your face a more youthful look.

Make crow’s feet and other wrinkles disappear

Dr. Giraldo uses fillers and Botox to treat crow’s feet, smile lines, thinning lips, and more. Botox inhibits muscle activity and, in this way, reduces wrinkles caused by facial expressions. Fillers, on the other hand, visibly cushion deep wrinkles, so the skin regains its volume. Both substances act in very different ways on wrinkles.

How Botox works

Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin that blocks the signal transmission from nerves to muscles. When a muscle is treated with Botox, it can no longer move. This effect is dose-dependent and can therefore be partially controlled.

The result of the Botox injection is visible immediately after the treatment and finally optimal after several days. Your new smooth skin makes your face look younger and fresher. With regular treatment, you get used to no longer activating the corresponding muscles, which means that for some patients, a significantly longer duration of the Botox effects can be expected than the estimated four to six months. With regular treatments, the wrinkles can recede more and more by themselves over time so that a permanent result is possible.

How fillers work

Dermal fillers restore hyaluronic acid, a natural skin compound, to create a more youthful look. The dermal filling process is a cosmetic procedure Dr. Giraldo uses to fill wrinkles and lines, especially on the face. Hyaluronic acid is an FDA cleared, safe, and natural product. The filler plumps up the spaces underneath and between your wrinkles or the targeted area, which immediately produces smooth results. The filler duration is between 3 and 12 months and can be repeated as often as required.
