Full Mouth Restoration

We recently finished a nice case where a patient was treated with Dental Whitening and two upper anterior teeth were restored, one with a Porcelain Veneer and another with a Porcelain crown.

Male Patient, 56 years old. We did a full restoration with Implants, fixed Bridges and crowns

At New Dimension Dentistry, we are proud to offer a range of cosmetic and restorative procedures. Take a look at some of the smiles we’ve transformed using a combination of cutting-edge technology and the skill that comes with years of professional dental expertise.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry refers to any procedure designed to improve the appearance of the smile- including both the teeth and the gums. Just look at the beautiful smiles that we’ve transformed using some of the following techniques:

Gum Contouring

Sometimes, people are born with a very low gum line which can hide some of the beautiful pearly white teeth below. Dr. Giraldo and her team have perfected safe Gum Contouring techniques using state of the art lasers. These are used to cut away excess gum tissue and can safely redefine the gum line for an aesthetically pleasing tooth-to-gum ratio.

Invisalign

Everyone wants a smile full of beautifully straight teeth. But when teeth grow in a way that causes them to become misaligned, braces may be the only way to straighten them. Fortunately, the new treatment Invisalign can help to straighten your teeth far more discreetly than conventional braces.

InvisalignTeeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Over time our teeth can become stained by coffee, red wine, spicy foods and tobacco to make them less pearly white than we’d like. The good news is that your teeth can be restored to their former pristine whiteness using a fast-acting and non-toxic chemical treatment that will restore the wow factor to your smile in around two hours. This can be an affordable and effective alternative to veneers, and is much safer and more effective than “over the counter” tooth whitening treatments.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Silver colored amalgam fillings can be distracting when you open your mouth to talk. What’s more, they can detract from an otherwise perfect set of teeth. The good news is that a Tooth Colored Filling made from a resin compound can replace your amalgam fillings for a much more discrete and natural look. If you plan on having your teeth whitened, we recommend delaying this until Dr. Giraldo and her team can match the color to your beautifully white new teeth. Alternatively, a tooth colored filling can be matched to virtually any existing tooth shade.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Sometimes all of the teeth and / or jaw have been compromised in a way that makes Full Mouth Reconstruction necessary. This may be due to trauma / injury, damage and wear caused by a misaligned bite or erosion caused by years of acid reflux or eating the wrong foods. While Full Mouth Reconstruction may seem like a daunting prospect, Dr. Giraldo and her team share years of expertise to ensure that you feel safe and confident while they work on transforming your smile.

Porcelain Veneers

If you have teeth that are badly stained, misaligned, chipped or broken, a Porcelain Veneer might be a viable alternative to either tooth whitening or a crown. The front layer of enamel is worn down and replaced with a pristine white veneer.

Restorative Dentistry

Restorative Dentistry is similar to cosmetic dentistry. However, as well as helping with the cosmetic aspects of your smile, it can also help to improve and rehabilitate the teeth, gums and jaw.

Bone Grafting

As a result of either periodontal disease, genetics or old age, we can develop bone loss in the jaw which can cause crowns and implants to become unstable. A Bone Grafting procedure restores strength and stability to the jaw, reducing the risk of tooth loss.

Dental Bridges

When a tooth is lost, it can create misalignment of the bite and disproportionate wear of the teeth around it. A Dental Bridge is used to firmly secure a cosmetic crown between the teeth on either side of the missing tooth. This can not only make for a more confident smile, it can strengthen the bite and prevent uneven wear.

Dental Crowns

When a tooth gets badly fractured, partially lost, chipped, damaged or discolored, a Dental Crown can restore stability and beauty to your smile. These are sculpted and colored to match your existing teeth, so we recommend carrying out any whitening treatment before getting a new crown fitted if you would like to whiten your teeth.

Crown Lengthening

Crown Lengthening is very similar to Gum Contouring. It involves the reshaping of gum tissue to better accommodate a crown. This can also have cosmetic benefits as it can better showcase the crown as well as your existing teeth.

Dentures

There are many reasons why a patient might find themselves having lost most or all of their teeth. And if this applies to you, you may assume that you’ll never be able to smile with confidence again. But fear not! Dr. Giraldo and her team are highly adept in the design and fitting of full, partial and implant-supported dentures.

Dental Implants

A Dental Implant uses a crown to create a natural-looking and discrete replacement for a missing tooth. However, instead of sitting on your actual tooth, it is attached to a post (called an abutment) which is embedded into the jawbone. This is designed to be a longer term alternative to a crown and, when properly cared for, can last for decades.

Inlays and Onlays

If you have a damaged or decayed tooth, you may need more than a simple filling. Inlays and Onlays fit over the cusp (the bumpy surface) of your back teeth and can be used to support and cover up fillings.

Root Canals

Restorative dentistry isn’t just about the cosmetic side of things. It’s about eliminating conditions that occur when the root or pulp of the tooth becomes infected. As such, Root Canals are some of the most common treatments carried out by Dr. Giraldo and her team. The root canal is cleaned to remove any traces of infection and the tooth is topped off with a temporary crown.

Soft Tissue Grafting

Gum disease (gingivitis) and brushing too hard can lead to a recession of the gums that can make your teeth and gums more prone to damage, infections and tooth / bone loss. Not to mention making your teeth look too long. Soft Tissue Grafting not only improves the appearance of the teeth and gums, it also makes teeth more secure and hygienic.
